“War and conflict arise when we attempt, from selfish motives, to acquire land or possessions that belong to others. Conversely, peace is realized when we invest ourselves for the sake of others, in other words, when we practice true love.”
- Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, WFWP Founder
As WFWP, we believe true leadership is not about position or power, but about serving others and leading by example. Furthermore, women’s uniquely feminine traits of compassion, forgiveness, empathy, and collaboration are exactly what is needed to inspire a new paradigm of leadership: one based on practicing true love, that is, love that gives freely and unconditionally without expecting something in return. With more women who exemplify leadership based on heart in diplomacy, politics, the economy, law, culture, sports, the arts, education, and NGOs, we can transform our families, our communities, our nations, and the world.
Through interactive workshops, seminars, leadership retreats, and National Assemblies, we educate and empower women of all ages to use their own unique talents to become authentic, compassionate, and conscientious leaders in their families and communities. Not in competition with men, but in complementarity to masculine leadership styles. Based on our experience over the past 20+ years, we are working to provide a model of enlightened women’s leadership based on integrity, humility, accountability, and a heart which puts others and a higher purpose above oneself.
As empowered women who practice leadership of the heart, WFWP members, volunteers, and supporters then put living for others into action through local community service projects as well as benefits for those in need worldwide. Every year, chapters raise thousands of dollars for the Schools of Africa project, in support of 9 schools in 8 African countries, established and run by WFWP International. Through flash fundraising after international humanitarian disasters, we have been able to provide much needed support to countries such as the Philippines, Nepal, Japan, and Ecuador. Like ripples in a pool of water, hundreds of local community projects--from street cleanings to helping the homeless--we hope to inspire many more on the importance and value of service.
