“A sound, healthy family is the school of love and virtue, and enlightened women are the center of the love, peace, and service that preserves the family.”
- Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, WFWP Founder
Research consistently shows that stronger marriages and families are positively correlated to higher education outcomes in children, lower instances of substance abuse, better mental health, and greater general health and happiness of family members. In loving families, children learn self-worth, empathy, how to relate with others, and everything necessary to become productive and humane members of society. When thinking about how to achieve genuine and sustainable peace, at WFWP, we believe it doesn’t start from the worldwide level of dealings between nations, but from transforming and strengthening families. Stable, and loving families are essential to building stable communities, nations, and ultimately, world.
As mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, women have an indispensable role in building and strengthening families. For example, mothers have a special role in nurturing and raising children; thus, mothers who are themselves uplifted and empowered will raise children who become global citizens who live for the sake of others. WFWP seeks to celebrate and support marriage and family through both education and collaboration.
Through seminars and workshops that teach practical, research-based relationship skills, we focus on three major tiers of family education:
- Character education for youth,
- Building healthy husband and wife relationships, and
- Fostering love and respect between parents and children.
