Spreading the Logic of Love at a Harvest Festival in Sunnyvale

On October 26, 2019, the city of Sunnyvale in California celebrated its annual Harvest Festival, bringing families of the community together for a fun afternoon. Children dressed in bright Halloween costumes came with their parents and enjoyed playing games, participating in the parade, and strolling in the pumpkin patch. With live music and lovely autumn weather, the families spent some quality time with their children and their neighbors.

In this warm and friendly environment, Marie Bond, representing Women’s Federation For World Peace in Sunnyvale, decided to share this precious time with her community. Equipped with newsletters and bookmarks, she set up a stand for WFWP and placed a banner with the message of “living by the logic of love”. Inviting children to her table, Marie shared the art of origami with them and taught them how to make beautiful shapes out of the colorful paper.

With a sincere heart and dedicated spirit, Marie reached out to the mothers and introduced WFWP to them by handing out the latest edition of the WFWP USA print newsletter and several pamphlets.

Marie believes that in every city, in every neighborhood and in every family, Women’s Federation should be there holding the banner of goodness and righteousness. Living with the logic of love and living for the sake of others should be the motto not only for WFWP but for every individual and every family.

In order to attain peace, we need to love our neighbors and serve our community with a parental heart. Peace starts with me first.
