Peace Hana School in Liberia thanks WFWP USA donors for support

WFWP USA has been a proud supporter of the Schools of Africa Project for 20 years, with the help of generous donor contributions, and the project currently provides quality education for students in eight African nations, including Liberia.

The Peace Hana School, established in Liberia in 1998, received a $15,000 grant from WFWP USA at the end of 2019 and the funds have been used to pay for much-needed improvements to the school and various expenses. We would like to share with you a letter of appreciation from the school, and extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who offered donations and made this possible.

Greetings

We wish to extend our appreciation to WFWP USA for your huge support to Peace Hana School in Libera.

We received the amount of $15,000 as your support to this institution. This enabled us to pay for the school-house-rent for two years (Jan. 2020 - Dec. 2021). We also built the new fence on this occasion which the government had suggested us to fix before, bought the new 50 chairs and desks, and repaired the school partially and prepared some pieces of equipment for the school re-opening. The rest of the money was used for teachers’ salaries. We appreciate your continuing support to the Peace Hana School. For the year of 2019, we had 112 students in total: 45 babies and children at day-care center and kindergarten, and 67 elementary students.

With Heavenly Parent, we know your effort is not in vain. Our children are doing their best in their school lessons and in their achievements. It is our prayer that we work together for the improvement of this school. We, as the staff of Peace Hana School, also would like to do our best to protect and develop the foundation for the education of Liberian children.

Thank you so much for your heart-warming support.

Ayumi Hasegawa,
Project Director.
