Celebrating WFWP and two Heroes/ Sheroes: Zena Ruf and long time Volunteer, Vicki Phelps

What an inspiring, historic and most memorable event we all partook together in the US Southeast region on July 24th, 2021, as we were regathered to honor two amazing women and sisters, pillars of WFWP, who will be moving on to other areas or endeavors!

Katarina, our WFWP USA Vice President, and Angelika Selle, President of WFWP USA,  also took the opportunity to update everyone on the vision, heart and spirit of WFWP and celebrate its new developments, and also to see how far we have come. Our moderator, Dr. Dottie Chicquelo did a wonderful job to weave all aspects of the program together, including to introduce to us Mr. Charles Woods, a distinguished Native entertainer and performer who graced us with two peaceful and beautiful renditions of his music.

The highlight, without a doubt, was the sharing of deep and astounding testimonies about our two ladies, Mrs. Zena Ruf, who has been the chairwoman for Northern Virginia for the last seven years, and Mrs. Vicki Phelps, who had joined WFWP in 1992, the founding year, and has been involved ever since as a most dedicated volunteer. Through the sharing of testimonies and hearing from the two ladies, we could go back in WFWP history and get a sense of what it was like. History was in the room!

Both ladies received a Certificate of Appreciation for their dedicated service and support to WFWP USA.

Congratulations and THANK YOU to Mrs. Zena Ruf and Mrs. Vicki Phelps for all you have given and invested into WFWP! It is because of women like you, unassuming, humble, loving, serving and committed, that WFWP is what it is today! Blessings on your path wherever it may lead!

Please, enjoy this historic recording below and share with others.
