Peace Hana School in Liberia thanks WFWP USA donors for support

WFWP USA has been a proud supporter of the Schools of Africa Project for over 20 years, with the help of generous donor contributions. The project currently provides quality education for students in eight African nations, including Liberia.

The Peace Hana School, established in Liberia in 1998, received a $12,500 grant from WFWP USA at the end of 2020 and the funds have been used to pay for much-needed improvements to the school and various expenses. We would like to share with you a letter of appreciation from the school, and extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who offered donations and made this possible.

Below is an excerpt from a letter from Peace Hana School:

Because of your precious support, we were able to prevent the COVID-19 infection in our school by providing a proper system of surveying the infection. We could manage our school with a total of 104 students: 46 babies and children at the day-care center and kindergarten, and 58 elementary students.

...we bought one printer, four electric fans, one generator, masks and one tank of antiseptic solution for washing hands. We also carried out the wiring works for electricity in this school building, and we are now waiting for the electricity to come into this area. We could also renew the doors and five blackboards in order to restart the school, and could pay for the school house rent for one whole year until the end of 2022. The rest of the funds were used for the teacher’s salaries.

It's been only possible to keep this project going on, absolutely, because of your generous support...

Thank you very much.

Project Director
