Chase the Dream
Culture, Arts, & Beauty

Chase the Dream Culture, Arts & Beauty was founded with a mission to explore the wealth of cultural and traditional heritage of society. Its prime focus is promoting cultural and artistic riches of peoples of African descent across the globe, thus empowering them to own their history with pride. Consistent with its mission of strengthening cultural bonds, Chase the Dream organizes cultural events, arts & crafts exhibitions, cultural workshops and honors individuals with remarkable contributions to preserving culture, music, and tradition.

Annually, we host the Evening of Cultures, a multicultural/artistic event, with the mission of celebrating cultural diversity. With its theme “Embracing the Mosaic of Our Cultures”, the Evening of Cultures event is a forum of cultural unity that embraces diverse cultures, customs, art and creativity from across the globe, bringing people with various ethnic, cultural, racial and religious background to celebrate humanity; defuse hate and encourage togetherness. An issue affecting our community is addressed at each annual event, including domestic violence and abuse in 2016, mental health in 2017, and breast cancer in 2018.

In addition, Chase the Dream Culture, Arts & Beauty publishes a bi-annual magazine called FAHARI. A Swahili word, FAHARI means dignity/pride. The Magazine serves as the voice of Chase the Dream, echoing its mission of promoting cultures, art, history and talent through feature stories and articles.
