transforming Peacebuilding

Sharing a healing touch with our global family

“Racism, religious intolerance, the desecration of nature, and other misfortunes of our world are the result of serious problems in the human heart. That’s where we should approach the solution of the world’s problems. The hate in the heart of man must be replaced with love.”

- Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Founder, Women’s Federation for World Peace

Bridge of Peace

Reconciliation &

Conflict

Transformation

WFWP's transformative signature project, the Bridge of Peace, fosters reconciliation among people of conflicting backgrounds. Originating in Korea and Japan, it has since helped to bridge social, political, racial and religious divides in the USA and around the world. The ceremony symbolizes unity, bringing together individuals to heal past animosities.

Our peace philosophy promotes the notion that in order to heal the social wounds of our time, we must first seek to establish peace within ourselves. Peace begins with me. Without reconciling the conflict within ourselves, we will be unable to reconcile the conflicts in the world around us. Through education and impactful ceremonies we seek to create a more peaceful world, from the inside out.

Initiatives

With the heart of a mother to care for the children of the world, WFWP supporters and volunteers strive to put the “logic of love” into action by gathering financial support for several initiatives to bring hope amongst the most underprivileged.

We seek to provide opportunities for equal access to quality education for underserved populations. WFWP’s major flagship project, Schools of Africa supports 9 schools in 8 different countries in Africa. Local chapters in the USA organize fundraising events to support school maintenance, supplies, student scholarships, and much more. Other educational projects include support of Lunis Kindergarten in Nepal, the Foster Care program in Cambodia and the Arabic Literacy program for refugee children in Jordan.

WFWP also supports several humanitarian aid projects. The 1% Love Share project was initiated by WFWP Korea to eradicate poverty through donating 1% of your income to those less fortunate across the globe, especially women and children. The project began with a donation to children in North Korea. Now, the program also supports women and children in Haiti, Japan, the Philippines, and the Gaza strip. In recent years, WFWP has also sent support to families of Ebola victims in Liberia, earthquake victims in Nepal, and survivors of hurricanes in Puerto Rico and Texas.

Your gift from the heart makes a tremendous impact.
