It is our pleasure to invite you to attend a webinar- initially planned as a CSW64 Parallel Event, sponsored by the WFWPI UN Office in New York and co-sponsored by Women Peace Pioneers Initiative, on Thursday, July 30, from 10 to 11 am (EST), entitled “Gender Equality: A forward looking, hopeful perspective.”

WFWPI recognizes and upholds the dignity of women and men and believes that, when they work together, in unity and in harmony, they are well suited to contribute to the advancement of gender equality in a manner that is both forward looking and hopeful.

In this parallel event for CSW64, we will host a panel of speakers on the topic of how gender equality is advanced when men and women collaborate for a common purpose. The panel will represent a variety of sectors and fields, and will allow time for questions and answers via Zoom. Ambassador Isaiah Chabala will give the keynote address.

Register for the Zoom webinar or watch live on Facebook!

As an NGO in general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, since 1997, Women’s Federation for World Peace, International (WFWPI) is profoundly aware of the unique opportunity it has been afforded to engage in the work of advancing the cause of women and gender equality at the UN. More than five hundred (500) women leaders, representing sixteen (16) nations, attended the Fourth World Conference on Women, in Beijing in 1995, representing WFWPI. In addition, WFWPI has actively participated in the annual session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) since 2003.
