In 1994, Congress unanimously passed “The Parents’ Day Resolution” establishing the fourth Sunday of July as a perennial day of commemoration.
This year Parents' Day is July 25th. On this day each year, Americans recognize outstanding parents, celebrate the teamwork in raising children, and support the role of parental guidance in building a strong, stable society.
Throughout the nation in almost every state, community leaders organize Parents’ Day events to honor parents. WFWP USA has been a consistent co-sponsor of this event nationally, especially since our Founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon gave birth to the idea of this day.
You are invited to participate by nominating an exemplary couple that has been married for many years, has raised good children, and served the greater community!
Please go to PARENTSDAY.COM to fill out the registration form either online or by downloading the form and faxing it in. If your nominated couple/ family is selected by the state committee, you and the couple will be notified, and also you will be informed if they make it to the national-level awarding.
The submission deadline is July 9th. To ensure your nomination is considered, we encourage you to fill out the application today!
National Parents of the Year: At the national level, the Universal Peace Federation together with WFWP USA and other organizations will sponsor an award ceremony, inviting and hosting state nominees to a Parents of the Year Banquet with members of Congress and other dignitaries. Stay tuned for a confirmed date and location of the event.
Let us celebrate long married couples and healthy and happy families in America!
