This program, Verna's HELP Metroplex Buzz, has been ongoing for several years. Verna Melton is an entrepreneur who launched a successful graphics design company in 1988 which markets and packages promotional items. As a dedicated woman of faith, Verna has shared her blessings to the community. Specifically, she offers workshops for people interested in doing business with the federal government, she has sponsored an annual Women's Empowerment Prayer Breakfast, she offers a giveaway program of free clear back packs for elementary and middle school students, and she organizes an annual legal clinic where attendees can meet with attorneys for free legal advice. Verna has been working in the North Texas community for many years and credits her faith as the motivation and power behind her success.
