Pastor Janet D. Reid

Pastor Janet D. Reid was awarded the HerStory Award by the Indiana Chapter of the Global Women's Peace Network on February 26, 2022, for her exemplary and selfless service to bring love and compassion to those in need of healing.

Evangelist Janet D. Reid was called by God into ministry in the Fall of 1989, while attending Word of Life Metro Church, Indianapolis, IN under the tutelage of the Late Pastor Jerry Landers. The Lord placed a special anointing upon her for the lost, broken, down trodden and forgotten people who needed to find their way back to a loving and caring Father.

In 1992 Evangelist Reid and her family transferred their membership to Eastern Star Church, Indianapolis, IN – “Where Jesus Is Exalted, and the Word Is Explained” under the dynamic leadership of Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson, Sr. for 17 years where she served diligently in multiple ministries.  She is currently serving in leadership under the tutelage of Pastor Michael O. Bryant – Westside M.B. Church, Indianapolis. IN. “Where Christ is Glorified, and Lives are Transformed” On July 29, 2019 Evangelist Reid was ordained as Pastor.  Pastor Janet preaches and teaches the Word of God without compromise. 

Pastor Janet Denise Reid, Founder of Blood Covenant Sisters International, Ministries INC. since 2012,  upholds her mission to enhance, encourage, equip and empower those who are downtrodden, unloved and feel they are forgotten or have lost their way.  Her purpose in life is to bridge the gap and develop sisterhoods between girls ages 5-17, young women 18-40, Seasoned women ages 50 and over.  

Pastor Janet’s heart and ministry is based upon the call of God on her life, which she refers to as the four (Es) to Enhance (raise each person to a higher degree of life), Encourage (God’s plan and purpose to fulfill our destiny in life), Equip (providing needed and useful tools that pulls forth the greatness we all possess), and Empower (sisters to become aware that we need God’s guidance to become all that God desires). Since 2014, she along with her (12) dedicated women of God, host Annual Women Conferences (CHOSEN) which empowers women to boldly take a stand in what God has called for them to do.

She spiritually guides women in a weekly Bible Study and Application that helps their spiritual growth and enhances their gifts of preaching and teaching the Word of God each Saturday via Teleconference called “Breakfast With The Bible”, every Saturday morning.

Since 2020, to help young children and teens cope with the sad situation caused by the lockdown, she spearheads through BCSIM’s MAMAS ministry (The Master’s Assignment for Mothers to take Action against the System) – “Mingle With Da MAMAS” a Self-Image, Self-Awareness, Self-Esteem and Self-Etiquette program for Girls ages 5-17. 

Last, but not least, is Pastor Janet’s heartbeat – the DIMS ministry– Dancing In My Season for the over 70 (Seniors), which she started in 2019. It is an Annual event (which includes dinner, dancing, entertainment, life stories, gift-card/baskets, raffles, etc.) birthday cards, food baskets for over 60 participants sharing her love for the Senior Saints. This is her remembrance ministry which recognizes our Seniors for their contribution to our families and their communities. Pastor Janet wraps her arms around this ministry because so many over 70 Senior Saints are alone and without someone to care.

The African proverb says “It takes a village to raise a child”.  She believes, since we all are children – It takes love to keep us growing!  Be responsible for loving one another!

Educational background: She received her Associates Degree in Theology/Double Major in Church Plant/Missions at LCU, Honolulu, HI; Bachelor of Theology LCU Tampa, FL., Summa Cum Laude; and she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Theology. She is married to a wonderful God-fearing believer, Dannie Reid and has 3 beautiful daughters (Quiana, Jakia, and Kymberli), eight grandchildren (Ayriana, Unique, Noriae, Keira, Aumir, Milan, King and Nasir. She cherishes being a wife, mother and grandmother for these are the attributes of a Virtuous Woman.
