Julie Phippen

During subsequent trips to remote schools in rural Zimbabwe where she was supplying basic education materials, Julie learned that young girls not properly equipped for the menstrual cycle, aren’t allowed to attend school. As a mother,  she thought of how fortunate her daughters are,  imagining them not attending school was not an option. With that in mind, She decided to do something to help girls in those rural communities. Otherwise these girls drop out of school or repeat grades because they miss school during their menstrual cycles. With vision, compassion, talent and the generosity of wonderful individuals, Julie founded Sewpportive Friends in May 2016.
