Cady Wassa Traore

Cady Wassa Traore, a globally recognized fashion brand developer, image consultant, and former model, is the founder of Women for Peace in Africa (WPA) and the owner of Cady Cosmetics brand. Born in Vavoua, Ivory Coast, her passion for fashion ignited during her childhood, influenced by her mother's work as a seamstress.

Standing at 5'11", Cady was initially perceived as a runway model for African designers while studying computer science in Abidjan. Her professional journey extended to Hollywood's model agencies, where she gained recognition as one of the most influential West African models.

However, her life in the United States was marked by personal challenges, including assisting displaced family members and advocating for women's basic needs in West African prisons and refugee camps. In response, she founded WPA to address the struggles faced by women and girls in underserved African communities.

Cady Wassa has received numerous awards, including recognition from the President of the Borough of The Bronx and awards from Ivory Coast for her outstanding commitment. Acknowledged as an Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation in 2016, she has actively participated in peace summits and conferences worldwide.

Alongside her successful fashion career, Cady is currently pursuing a Master of Art in Peace Studies at HJI - New York, demonstrating her commitment to education and empowerment.
