Dear friends,

Can you imagine 1 million people from around the world gathering together for the sake of hope and peace, sharing and listening to messages from heads of state for a better future?

YES! In fact, it already happened, on August 9 (August 8 in the U.S.), a virtual Rally of Hope, with 1 million people from 194 nations, all initiated by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Mother of Peace (see article)! Outside of the powerful and inspiring messages that were shared and the challenge that was laid down, it was also truly a 21st century technical miracle!

Can you also hear the many other voices of hope and peace, some a bit softer, others louder, that are rising up in our midst, who are sharing and providing fresh insights, input, love, support and healing to assist us in navigating through these challenges we are currently facing?

I certainly can!

And as you look through this current edition of the Logic of Love e-news, you will find it is chock-full of such voices, projects and initiatives, which seek to guide us all toward solutions and alternative paths to deal with our past, inspiring us to see our connections more than our divisions, so we may be able to chart a new and better future. This is the kind of time we live in! (See article on the GWPN Forum.)

As you read about the pan-African conference — "Africa: It's Time to Rise and Shine" — you will find that participants also engaged in honest conversations and discussions, hearing one another and realizing that we are responsible for one another as well as for ourselves. It tells me that in the end we all need to personally change, and that we as a nation need to change. This is the first step on the road to peace: honesty, humility, self-reflection and self-change.

This sentiment is also reflected in Katarina Connery's reflection on the Rally of Hope: "Looking in the Mirror."

And, as you tune in with the ongoing Peace Road stories and reflections in the Northeast and Southeast regions, you might also feel a sense of reliving history and coming out on a different level.

I hope as you read this e-news, you will feel rejuvenated by the flame and fire of peace, and that the yearning for peace in you will grow stronger and stronger.

Please enjoy this song from the 1988 Olympics in Korea, a song I'm listening to often these days, to keep the vision, heart and hope alive as we move toward a more harmonious human family.

Have a wonderful rest of the summer!

Sincerely,

Angelika
