Below is a section of a letter from Women’s Federation for World Peace International announcing Mrs. Handschin’s election:

Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) International is pleased to inform you that Mrs. Carolyn Handschin, the WFWP International Vice President for the Europe region and Director of Office for the UN Relations, was elected President of the NGO Committee on the Status of Women (NGO CSW) at the UN in Geneva for a period of three years from April 2021 to April 2024. 

A committee comprised of 24 international NGOs with UN ECOSOC status voted unanimously to elect Mrs. Handschin, which is a great achievement of the 29-years that WFWP has worked as part of the UN platform. 

We send our congratulations to Mrs. Handschin, who invested her heart and efforts to partner and build good relationships with many peers.
