“Understanding True Womanhood”

There are many hidden gems on the WFWP website to educate, inspire, and guide women in all walks of life. Even better is to become a member and connect to a local chapter or start your own! With this in mind Ayano Ishii Adrien, WFWP Virginia Representative, hosted an informative, collaborative webinar titled: Leadership of Heart Family Resources for Building a Peaceful World via Zoom on May 28, 2022.

To start, Father Bayo Adrien, convener of Heavenly Couples in Ministry, greeted the audience and introduced his wife, Ayano Ishii Adrien, and shared how grateful he was for her leadership and the heartfelt collaborative work she does. Then everyone had a chance to be introduced to some of the WFWP leaders who each shared a prayer or blessing for all those in attendance.

To inspire the audience, WFWP member, Theresa Rozier, shared a reading from WFWP founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s memoir, Mother of Peace. Below is an excerpt from her reading:

“Neither men nor women understood the feminine heart of Heavenly Mother and the perfect eternal love of Heavenly Parent. Lacking this existential awareness, the feminist movement that erupted in the West could not but degenerate into a one-note movement blaming men for all problems…With my whole heart I embrace even those among Your children who, unaware of the truth, have misunderstood and even persecuted me. As I do, You heal the wounds that they inflict. During the last 40 days of 2019, despite challenges to my health and sometimes physical exhaustion, I continually traversed the earth. I had pledged to complete this path within my lifetime, and I did not break my promise to You. Political and religious leaders lowered their guard, responded, and embraced each other. People began referring to me as the Mother of Peace.”  (page 10)

Theresa also explained about WFWP Virginia’s International Family Center book club and intergenerational support group for women that she is currently attending, led by Ayano Ishii Adrien, now going on its third year has been very beneficial in many ways. Together they read and reflected on Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s memoir and other books, and it has been like consuming good, spiritual food, and learning from each other's reflection. We become better women by growing our heart relationship with God, through having supportive relationships as we share our own personal struggles and check in with each other. We are trying to create a culture of heart here and it has been very comforting and fulfilling.

A Beautiful song presentation "Without Love We Have Nothing” by Soloist Mrs. Lindsey set the stage for the keynote speaker.

WFWP USA President Angelika Selle warmly welcomed the audience and invited all to revisit WFWP’s and GWPN’s vision from local to global based on her power point: Opening doors for women and mothers: Tools and resources for outreach and education.

To introduce WFWP International, a special video was shown with President Julia Moon showing and telling about  the breadth, depth and impact of WFWP’s activities worldwide.

WFWPI Projects with Commentary by Julia Moon

Zeroing in on the vision and mission here in the United States as well as concrete projects and activities that evolved over the last few years, President Selle highlighted once again the Founder’s vision as well as uniqueness of the organization as a providential and spiritual women’s organization that promotes Divine Femininity and encourages women “to follow the path of a true mother, true daughter, and true wife so that love can overflow….” (Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon)  WFWP is also a socially grounded, non denominational, interracial, non-partisan group acknowledging our Creator as the deepest common denominator and reference point of the organization’s values.

Below are four main activities of WFWP on the international and national level:

1. WFWP has been working closely with the United Nations as an NGO (non-governmental organization) with general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations since 1997. It allows WFWP to access and influence critical issues debated and decided on at the United Nations, and to participate in UN work on a larger scale. We can attend meetings, join committees, make statements, and have long-term and high-level impact.

2. Global Women’s Peace Network, (GWPN) brings together leaders, organizations and governments to solve pressing social issues and secure an environment for equitable human development. Through peace leadership based on the feminine aspect of human nature, GWPN seeks to ensure lasting peace and prosperity for generations to come.

3. Global Friend’s Feature: Global Friends aren’t just any organizations or companies with their own survival or self interest in mind. These organizations commit to using their platform to build the kind of peaceful world we all want to live in. And when we combine our vast influence and strengths together, we will certainly move mountains.Global Friends include organizations, companies, movements, shows, and trailblazing personalities who believe in and adhere to core peace tenets, and contribute to the goals of the Global Women’s Peace Network by using their outlet to foster lasting peace and prosperity for generations to come.

4. Project HerStory Award started in 2010. Instead of just honoring women we give them the opportunity to share their backstory. On this platform, women share openly and honestly about the hardest, most traumatic times in their life and how they could find healing and turn that moment around to love and help others.

President Selle also emphasized that the work of a peace maker is one of the hardest jobs there is. To help prepare women for peace leadership and to empower women leaders (and families) the following education programs were designed and implemented:

1. Leadership of the heart: Intergeneration presentation focusing on self change, self worth, spirituality, and emotional maturity to discover the peace leader within.

2. Cornerstone for happiness: The four realms of heart. Four kinds of love. End with introducing the Marriage Blessing, a rededication of marriage for the sake of peace.

3. Cornerstone for peace: introduces the 43 day journey for couples to make a new start.

How to use these materials?  First of all, become a paying member! Then study the founder’s words. Also read and share her memoir, Mother of Peace. Our founder is unique to our organization and sets the base for all women to be liberated.

The event concluded with reflections from attendees:

Thank you to President Selle. Your ministry has touched my life in a very meaningful way. Thank you to our host Mrs. Ayano and Father Bayo Adrien and partner Dr. Patra. I am so overwhelmed by all that WFWP is doing. It provides us with a clear road map. Feminine energy is really what is going to heal our world. This organization presents a path for all women and we are needed like never before. God bless you all.
—Dr. Glovinia Williams

Thank you everyone. Stepping up and bringing WFWP to us so we can hear the true version of womanhood.
