The Golden Era of Women

On Monday, August 29, 2022, the GWPN AZ invited Councilwoman Berdetta Hodge, New Tempe City Council Member, to the Peace Embassy in Tempe for a meet and greet day.

Councilwoman Berdetta Hodge was inaugurated in the Tempe Council on July 1, 2022. Berdetta brings a lot of experience managing one of Arizona’s best school districts and is the first African American woman elected to public office in the city of Tempe.

Women from all walks of life and good works gathered to hear Berdetta Hodge, Tempe City Council Member (Arizona), deliver an inspirational speech on how we can ALL come together to change the gender leadership landscape of the world. Berdetta Hodge’s background is multifaceted, and she has truly earned her leadership and role model stripes that go back to her beginnings as an innovator and philanthropist.

Council Member Hodge addressed three points in her brief visit with the GWPN ladies:

  1. To be a supporter to empower women with their educational and artistic goals.

  2. To be a bridge to connect deeper with the community.

  3. She welcomes every opportunity to speak at events ... especially focusing on financial literacy, mental health and building healthy and prosperous communities.

Awesome and powerful meeting. Great leaders coming together to make a difference in our communities.  — Anjanette Foster

The time we are presently living is called, “The Golden Era of Women.” Women leaders will not just inspire; they will illuminate! Leading with the Heart into the future is the most important leadership skill in the 21st century. It’s time for women to step ahead and assume their leadership roles in whatever capacity that drives their passion.

The term “Golden Age of Women” is partially taken from an excerpt of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s speech at the 20th Anniversary of Women Federation for World Peace in Las Vegas.

The co-founders declared “The Advent of the Global Era of Women” at the Inaugural Assembly of the WFWP in April 1992. The Global Women Peace Network is a project of the WFWP.

We use “Golden Age” because it defines a period of great happiness, prosperity, and achievement of women. For example: Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s global leadership—or Mother Moon — for opening this Golden Age for all women to become women of Peace.

We are growing in numbers and making a much-needed difference
