President's Corner: Kaeleigh Moffitt is Welcomed as the New WFWP USA President

Greetings to our many readers of the Logic of Love newsletter,

Mrs. Moffitt was inaugurated as WFWP USA President on February 11, 2023

It is my great honor and pleasure to be welcomed as the new president for the Women's Federation for World Peace USA this month. I feel tremendously grateful for the legacy of WFWP which was laid by so many amazing women including our former Presidents: Mrs. Nora Spurgin, Mrs. Alexa Ward, and of course, Mrs. Angelika Selle. I am fortunate to know each of them in different capacities, and I am so grateful for their whole-hearted support of my appointment. 

During both the 30th anniversary celebration and our presidential transition ceremony, I was moved and humbled by the work of WFWP over the past three decades. I understand the significance of this appointment and offer you my sincerest commitment to continuing the legacy of WFWP onwards and upwards. I am especially grateful to Mrs. Angelika Selle who, over the past few months, has supported me and this transition by offering her wisdom, experiences and encouragement. She has worked closely with me this month and will continue on as a Special Advisor to WFWP USA in the coming months. 

Our founder, Mother Moon, has often spoken about the role of women in society and the significance of our leadership. My personal copy of her memoir, Mother of Peace, is full of sticky notes, highlights and underlines of sections which address the role of women leaders in society. One particular quote comes to mind today which I thought was appropriate to share: 

“The world of the future can be a world of reconciliation and peace, but only if it is based on the maternal love and affection of women. This is the true power of womanhood. The time has come for the true power of womanhood to save the world.”

It is this vision that gives me great hope for the future of WFWP. I believe now, more than ever, is the time for the true power of womanhood to be uplifted along with the true power of manhood. It is only by celebrating these unique attributes and putting them into harmonious practice together that we will begin to see the world we are all longing for.
