WFWP New Jersey Hosts Festive and Impactful Holiday Party

Written by: Katarina Connery

On a cheerful December afternoon, the WFWP New Jersey chapter gathered to celebrate the season and a year of meaningful achievements at their annual holiday party. With 30 attendees, the event was a wonderful mix of reflection, fun, and festivity that left everyone inspired and uplifted.

Katarina Connery, Vice President of WFWP USA, set the tone for the celebration by sharing highlights from 2024 and acknowledging the remarkable contributions of the New Jersey chapter. She emphasized three priority areas where the chapter truly shone this year:

  • HerTribes: Two small groups met regularly to explore the philosophy of true womanhood and spiritual growth inspired by Mother Moon.

  • Global Women's Peace Network (GWPN): Hosting engaging programs like Painting with a Purpose, women’s health workshops at the Clifton Library, and the esteemed HerStory Awards.

  • International Projects: Raising an impressive $11,475 for initiatives in Cambodia, São Tomé, and Schools of Africa.

“We are so proud of our volunteers and their dedication to making an impact, both locally and globally,” Connery shared, as participants reflected on the chapter’s incredible accomplishments.

The celebration wasn’t all business, though. Mocktails were a hit, keeping spirits high throughout the afternoon. A lively game of holiday-themed Scattergories brought out a competitive edge as teams brainstormed creative answers to win an extra raffle entry. Crafting mini tree decorations added a personal and festive touch, while a belly dancing lesson brought everyone to their feet, transforming hesitation into joy as the room filled with laughter and movement.

The party concluded with a much-anticipated raffle, cheerfully managed by “Mrs. Claus” and attendees left with bags of assorted cookies brought by members to share. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and filled with the spirit of community and togetherness. This holiday party not only celebrated a year of success but also reinforced the strong bonds within WFWP New Jersey, reminding everyone of the power of collective action and joyful collaboration. Here’s to an even brighter 2025!
