WFWP AZ AWAKENS THE HEARTS OF THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY AT FIRST FILIPINO ONLINE RADIO SHOW
In preparation for the WFWP 25th Anniversary Celebration in Arizona that took place in May of 2017, the Arizona chapter was given three opportunities to promote their event on Spanish radio shows. Through these radio show connections, Arizona Chairwoman, Rhia, recently became the first Filipino online radio show host at Entremujeresradio.net!
Rhia, inspired by the Year of the Rooster, which represents speaking out, hopes to utilize media outlets to speak out and to awaken people's hearts. The radio show will primarily highlight positive stories of Filipinos in the USA, and upcoming artists. On the show, she thanked WFWP for inspiring her to realize her dreams. She will continue to inject WFWP’s teachings for peace and healthy family relationships throughout the series.
The first radio show focused on Mother-Daughter relationships. She interviewed three pairs of Beauty Queens with their mothers, and invited two talented Filipino children to sing “One Family Under God.” So far there have been 4,148 views of the show, and counting!
