BUDDHA, THE MESSENGER OF PEACE

O, buried for 2,500 years
O, hiding soul
And hiding your golden truth
Listen…
Listen… to my hesitant voice
Listen… this is the right time
That you have decided to cut the ground
And planned to appear

I know a little
A little about your time
I imagine when Sun used to smile
Kids used to laugh
Flowers were full of fragrance
Trees were happy
Rivers were clean
World was fresh
Fresh like a newborn
Peace was not afraid
When you used to hold a finger of love
And show around,
How to heal
How to remove pain
How to give like a sun
How to be big like a tree
You protected like a tall father
You loved like a mother
You taught like a teacher
with love and patience
Even to the ugliest people like "UNGLI MALA”

O great man of old times
All the peace
All the giving
All the friendliness
All the secularism
Has vanished…
Vanished from this world with you…

It’s a sick breath of hate
It’s a dark cloud of war
It’s a greedy alien all over the place
Alien with my face
Alien with your face
There is no name on his neck
There is no tag on his wrist
It's all over the place

O messenger of peace
O messenger of love
Since you are awake again
Awake from 25 centuries of sleep
O please
Please open your eyes
Wear your monk attire
Please hurry

Let's move with the wind
Let's visit the poor
Visit the wounded
Visit the helpless

Millions are miserable
Their eyes are blank
Faces are pale
Hearts are bleeding
But they are still breathing
Breathing for hope
Speak now
O please speak now
We may be surprised
Maybe Sun can smile again
Maybe flowers (Lotus) can blossom again
Maybe kids will laugh again
Maybe mothers are fearless again
Maybe this world will heal again
I wish this world could heal again
O my Buddha
O my messenger of peace...
Please speak now…
Speak now…
