NEVER TOO OLD TO TAKE ACTION

An inspired 83-year-old woman decides to build a shelter for women.

"We celebrated this year's Mother's Day luncheon on May 25 with a couple married 64 years and various women who have graduated with honors from within the Four Great Realms of Heart - child, sibling, marital, parental," Shirley Chimes said.

A delectable lunch was prepared and Tami Tamayo presented a video featuring WFWP founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, and the importance of the Bridge of Peace Ceremony.

The highlight of the event occurred when an 83-year-old lady decided, to everyone's surprise, to become a member of WFWP USA so she could fulfill her dream of building a homeless shelter for women on 20 acres of land given to her three years ago. "In fact, she joined before the program began, inspired about our vision statement somebody had read to her," Chimes said.

Another first-time guest, who revealed she owned and operated a construction company, told her she would help build the shelter for her.
