WFWP MD WELCOMES 20 JAPANESE STUDENTS

On August 9th, we had a lively time at the Maryland Melford Center with 20 Japanese students. The group is visiting the U.S. for four weeks, touring America’s historical sites and our Founders’ established buildings. WFWP Maryland welcomed the opportunity to meet with them, and to connect the youth of two nations together.

As soon as the guests arrived, they began playing frisbee with the locals. Later, they shared a delicious meal of spaghetti, salad, pizza, cake, and enjoyed themselves.

The American youth created art and signed their names to the blank t-shirts the Maryland chapter provided, and gave them as gifts for the Japanese visitors.

They all became “Bridges of Peace” by simply sharing food, exchanging t-shirts, playing frisbee together, invisible barriers were broken naturally and at the end of the day all felt connected in heart and friendship.
