BRING OUT THE HERO WITHIN
On a beautiful July day the Minnesota Chapter of WFWP had the opportunity to host a seminar featuring WFWP President Angelika Selle. This was our second time welcoming Mrs. Selle to Minnesota. Clergy, educators, business leaders, and friends, both old and new, came hear her message and find out more about what WFWP is doing in the US and around the world.
Mrs. Selle gave two presentations. The first was on the upgraded vision and mission of WFWP USA, focusing on the new time we live in. The second presentation, called “Finding the Leader Within,” is part one of the three-part Leadership of the Heart educational series developed by WFWP USA.
Throughout the seminar, President Selle highlighted Mother Moon's leadership by example. She explained why and how women are being called at this time to be on the "front line" for positive change in their own lives, families, homes and communities even up to the world level.
She then introduced ten points that make a Leader of the Heart. The points are based on the teachings of WFWP Founders, professional courses that she has taken, and from her own personal experience as a woman leader. It ended with a live question and answer session and a delicious lunch.
She inspired participants with her presentations. The participants were visibly moved as she encouraged them to reflect deeply on what they would desire to do in their lives if there were no barriers. Each participant wrote down their passions and some volunteered to share theirs with the group.
Through her message, we realized that discovering our passions is the first step in finding a calling within ourselves. Once discovered, that calling naturally compels us to become a hero and draws out the leader from within. This clear and profound insight was well presented, and provides a path for growth in striving to reach our potential.
By going through this process, we can draw upon our natural strengths and substantially contribute towards a world of sustainable peace and happiness in our families and our communities.
We are grateful for President Selle's visit, the insights she shared, and the inspiration we felt as a result. The education we received gave our community momentum to take responsibility to manifest the ideal of sustainable peace. We are now following up with the participants and inviting them to share and discuss action plans to take WFWP forward in Minnesota.
