MARRIAGE AND FAMILY SEMINAR IN NORTH CAROLINA

No matter at what stage your marriage is, whether you have been married for five months or fifty years, it is a lifelong commitment and investment that requires continuous learning. Both men and women can benefit from the content developed for “The Cornerstone of Happiness: Marriage and Family Seminar” and see the value of it in their daily lives.
The WFWP North Carolina chapter worked together with the MLK Jr. Task Force and the Triangle Family Church (TFC) of Durham, North Carolina to host this educational seminar on Saturday, March 30th, just one week after it was presented in Georgia.
The setup was masterfully coordinated by North Carolina Chairwoman Carolyn Sampson, with support from TFC member Bob Honeycutt. Myrna Lapres, WFWP Southeast Regional Chairwoman, traveled from Atlanta, Georgia to facilitate the seminar.
Carolyn welcomed everyone, reminding them of recent WFWP activities and the 2020 goals which were on each table. As we moved through the seminar presentations and activities, we were saddened to face the reality of the world around us and challenged to become more loving and better at listening. The presentations inspired us to see marriage and parenting as part of our spiritual path.
Of the event’s eleven attendees, it was exciting that nearly half were men. One of them, Dr. Tyler Hendricks, was pleased and excited to learn that he could become a friend of WFWP. He said that he had never been invited to join before. Joshua Angelucci, who is both the pastor of the TFC as well as a member of WFWP, said he was very impressed with the professional quality of The Cornerstone for Happiness. He looks forward to supporting this presentation in his community.
