During her visit to Northern California, WFWP USA President Angelika Selle addressed the local CARP (Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles) Chapter on Friday, May 18th, giving those in attendance (college students or recent graduates) so much inspiration. She explained about the uniqueness of WFWP as a women’s organization that seeks to work together with men to create a culture of heart. She also spoke about the power of mothers to resolve conflict and the role of enlightened women to work together for world peace. One young woman was so inspired that she wants to create a WFWP chapter on her campus.

All photos were taken by Bay Area CARP President, Gabby von Euw.

Reflections from participants

Yuuki Tanaka, college student:
Last Friday, I attended a presentation by Angelika Selle, President of WFWP USA, on the topic of “Living by the Logic of Love.” Initially, I had little to no idea of what WFWP actually did, besides the general idea that it’s an organization for women’s empowerment. It was great to hear about specific activities and events WFWP supports and is involved in, such as their schools in Africa and conferences on peace in different sectors. I realized that WFWP is not just a women’s rights/ empowerment organization, but really that WFWP is a champion of peace and an agency focusing on bringing out the divine femininity of God into this world. Furthermore, it was wonderful to see that at some of WFWP’s events a lot of men were present, which is necessary for a women-focused organization, since men- in the past and to this day- are the primary influencers in this world. Overall, I was very glad to hear Mrs. Selle talk about the philosophy of love that WFWP espouses and the acts they do in support of that.

Jessica Mock, college graduate:
The event started out with a fun icebreaker. I appreciate Mrs. Selle sharing what WFWP actually is and the various activities that carry out their values. To be honest, I never met anyone from WFWP and thought it was a thing of the past, but I'm glad to know it's going strong and it is continually building bridges between nations and uplighting women to lead. Mrs. Selle is passionate and energetic.

Savannah Cyrus, college student:
I think that one of my biggest takeaways was when Mrs. Selle said that she starts her day by asking what she can do to help someone else. I found this very inspiring and helpful, because I think it is a great way to really refocus your day in a way that is tangible. We can all say that we want to help people, but when we make it an actual goal or priority, we are consciously and actively putting others’ needs before our own, which is one way to actively be a light in a sometimes far too dim world.
