NATURAL DISASTERS SPELL HOPE, NOT FEAR
According to the wisdom of the indigenous people of the Americas, we are living in the time of a great shift to a world of peace that began in 2012. The present confusion in the world, they say, as well as the many natural disasters are all part of a great detoxification that is going on in preparation for the New Age.
This was the exhilarating and powerful message shared by Ms. Charlie Toledo, a Native American and executive director of the Suscol Intertribal Council in Napa, California, at a recent Women in Faith meeting sponsored by the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of WFWP and the Women's Interfaith Circle of Service (WICS), a Cooperation Circle of the United Religions Initiative.
Twenty-four women gathered to hear Ms. Toledo share indigenous wisdom concerning the new millennium. She emphasized the importance of taking time to go inward to find peace so we can spread peace around us.
The participants also received wonderful, deep guidance from Ms. Prabha Duneja, an author, teacher, and spiritual leader of the Hindu faith. She also underlined the need to cultivate inner peace at this time, cleansing the mind and body. Her down-to-earth spirituality uplifted all those present. Afterward, she guided us in a beautiful Heart Chakra Meditation.
Then Mrs. Tomiko Nojima, executive director of WICS, gave an informative PowerPoint presentation about her group's activities. The event was held on September 28, 2014 at the beautiful home of Ms. Monika Kellett in San Leandro, California. All the participants felt rejuvenated and hopeful to work together to help our communities in this time of transition.
