PRINCIPLES OF PEACE AT HOLIDAY FESTIVITIES
On December 23, when we declared Prosperity Day in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, 24 women and men gathered to celebrate with us at Rev. Norris Izumi's home. The party was a wonderful event celebrating and honoring the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The participants were welcomed by WFWP Chairwoman Mrs. Jizly Dohou, who shared her experiences in Las Vegas, where she went to join a holiday party with WFWP Founder Mother Hak Ja Han Moon and many other WFWP and Universal Peace Federation members. She shared the vision of WFWP in line with Mother Moon's Vision 2020 – her desire to promote the peace legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon all over the world.
We were honored that the president of WFWP in the Philippines, Ms. Merly Barlaan, shared the Principles of Peace with all those who were gathered. She explained WFWP's innovative approach to peace, which is public-mindedness and "living by the logic of love."
Then Rev. Chung Hwan Kim explained the importance and relevance of WFWP in connection with Mother and Father Moon's global peace movement. His speech was translated from Korean to English by Rev. Izumi. It gave the audience a deeper understanding of the role of WFWP in the context of bringing peace to our communities, our country, and the world at large. The program inspired all who were gathered, leading many people to pledge their support to WFWP in Pennsylvania.
