THE SEARCH IS ON FOR "MS. LOVE IQ"

In the month of February, as we celebrated love and hearts on Valentine's Day, the young women's component of WFWP in Pennsylvania got together and decided to hold a beauty pageant to choose "Ms. Love IQ."

They set up a booth at the main center of the University of Pennsylvania campus and gave fliers to the students as they passed by. They spoke to young women and encouraged them to become contestants in the Ms. Love IQ Beauty Pageant that will be held later this year.

The Ms. Love IQ Beauty Pageant is not your ordinary beauty pageant. It is not just a beauty contest, but is also a competition for young ladies who have adopted a way of life based on the core value of abstinence and who exemplify good character traits in their lives. Choosing Ms. Love IQ will not be about assessing just her outer beauty, but will include aspects of her inner beauty too.

The candidates must demonstrate a lifestyle that is drug-free and sex-free. They must also have the ability and passion to speak and encourage others to take the same path. They must have a drive to be an example to other young people to help them say "no" to risky behavior.

The winner will be given a contract to speak at WFWP gatherings to help bring the message of abstinence to young people. With a mother's heart, and through encouraging self-respect and self-control, WFWP is trying to provide young people with tools to adopt a lifestyle of abstinence that will lead to lifelong healthy relationships.
