The Washington DC Chapter of WFWP celebrated International Women's Day with an afternoon program on Saturday March 14 entitled "Make It Happen! Protect Women and Children." The program was held at the Church of Scientology National Affairs Office, formerly known as the Fraser mansion.

As people were entering and getting settled for the program, Mrs. Nazeeha Howard, Music Therapist, Healing Arts Practitioner, and Founder of Howard's Music Therapy and Healing Art Services, LLC; played the harp and sent forth healing energy and light from her instrument to each of the attendees.

Once most people had arrived, the participants were invited into the next room for food and a chance to introduce and get to know each other before the more formal program began.

After a delightful time chatting, the emcee, Mrs. Kim Dadachanji, Chairwoman of WFWP Maryland, called Minister Chi Mauuso of the Christian Outreach Center for Deliverance, Afrikan Women's Networking Group-AWNG Global Village Consultant, to give the invocation. Then Rev. Susan Taylor, Public Affairs Director of the Church of Scientology National Affairs Office, welcomed everyone as the host and spoke on "The Importance of Human Rights." She showed four short captivating video clips about Youth Human Rights International. The message went straight to everyone's hearts and brought tears to many eyes.

To prepare the atmosphere for the main presentation, Mrs. Nanae Goto and Mrs. Miwako Lindsey sang "Hand in Hand." The song was originally sung during the 1988 Seoul Olympics, to demonstrate that if we work hand in hand, we can achieve lasting peace. Mrs. Elizabeth Aihe, Chairwoman of WFWP DC, recited her poem, "What a Blessing to Be a Woman." Ms. Meauvell Tate, Volunteer Minister, Dianetics Auditor, Tutor and Teacher, and vocalist for The International Conference of Submitters-World-Wide sang "Des'ree: You Gotta Be" with so much personality that everyone was drawn in. Then Mrs. Katherine Cromwell read her poem "Whispered Prayers."

Mrs. Kim Dadachanji introduced WFWP and finally the guest speaker, Mrs. Nana Nazeeha Howard, came to the front and offered so much healing that all were rejuvenated and revived by the time she was done. Ms. Nazeeha offered a song to begin sharing "A Celebration of Life" with those present. She spoke about her life experiences, how she travelled to many places searching to find healing techniques for spiritual health, physical health, and financial health. She then gave a musical presentation and healing session. Participants experienced a calmness and even healing during this short time with Ms. Nazeeha.

Just before the program ended Mrs. Angelika Selle, President of WFWP USA, and her husband, Bob, came in. She had just arrived by train from New York and gave a report from the WFWP parallel event at the Commission on the Status of Women 59 (CSW 59), at the United Nations. Ms. Nazeeha then presented Mrs. Selle with The Zohar, which, in Jewish mystical tradition, is a collection of commentaries on the Torah written for those who have achieved spiritual enlightenment.

Finally, Ms. Elizabeth Aihe gave a call to action and thanked everyone for taking the time to attend and especially Rev. Taylor for allowing WFWP to use their beautiful building. She introduced her son, David, who had come to support her for the first time since she became WFWP DC chairwoman. David has performed many times during WFWP DC events doing martial arts demonstrations as well as break-dancing with the WAIT team to promote abstinence before marriage.

It was indeed a program of substance. Some people came up afterwards and said they were so happy they had come. Some expressed amazement that a few minutes of a music healing session could make them so relaxed, happy, and free of the physical pain they had come in with. They said that they can't wait to come again to such a profound program.
