THANK YOU TO THE WORCESTER FAMILY CHURCH!
Lead with heart: uplift, collaborate and transform. WFWP USA’s motto for the year 2019 is a powerful call to action, to bring hope and a future to a world that is tired of all the negativity around us. There are positive stories to find in every community, waiting to be shared. One such story came to us from the city of Worcester, Massachusetts.
On the 19th of December, the members of the Worcester Family Church held their annual Christmas party to celebrate the festive season together in fellowship, and also to raise money for a special cause. Tables were laden with holiday presents, gift certificates and gift cards from local businesses for the annual holiday raffle.
Each year this church community organizes a Christmas raffle and this was the third year in a row that they decided to donate all proceeds to the WFWP Schools of Africa project. More than $1000 was raised this time thanks to their collaborative efforts - local WFWP members and even high school students from the youth group helped go out to get prizes and set up the raffle.
The Worcester Family Church is an active and united community in supporting the Schools of Africa. As local WFWP chairwoman Margaret Brewster explains, they are one of the top donators for the Schools of Africa because they feel it is a real, practical and substantial program that continues to inspire their community. It is their inspiration for a better, more peaceful and brighter world that motivates them to keep doing it every year.
We would like to thank them for their continuous support and hope to learn from their beautiful example of leading with heart.
