WFWP REPRESENTS AT BCSF!

The Blessed Culture and Sports Festival (BCSF) approached its 14th year this summer. However, it is saddening to see the numbers of how many women actually partake in sports. Soccer, being a major North American sport, has one of the lowest numbers of women playing at BCSF. There used to be a rule saying that each team needed 2 women players on the field at all times. Unfortunately, over the years, this rule has disappeared.
In hope of bringing up the numbers, I took the initiative of creating a 100% women soccer team. In fact, this team is not only about playing the sport. This team is to remind women of the strength that we have as individuals and as a team. I hope that by coming together, we can inspire other women to not be afraid to play sports.
WFWP was gracious enough to sponsor our team this year, and although we did not win our matches, the experience inspired many. Hopefully, this can be the beginning of a new generation of women coming together to challenge ourselves and empower each other to be strong.
