Tremaine ‘Abenaa’ Moore
Abenaa is the founder of Naturally Geechee Holistic Skin and Hair Care, a brand deeply rooted in the Gullah/Geechee tradition. Inspired by her journey with a rare lymphatic condition, she has dedicated the past eight years to creating an all-natural, vegan, and healing skin and hair care line. Born on rural Johns Island, South Carolina, Abenaa’s condition initially made her shy and self-conscious. However, her commitment to holistic healing and spiritual beliefs led her to embrace natural products, transforming both her health and self-confidence.
Today, Naturally Geechee offers a range of natural shampoos, moisturizers, lip balms, oils, and scrubs, available at select locations in Savannah, including the Savannah Historic Museum, Pin Point Museum, Body Bronzing By Becca, and the International African American Museum (IAAM). Drawing on her studies in Chemistry and her Gullah Geechee heritage, Abenaa hopes her products and personal journey will inspire others to embrace natural healing and honor their bodies as sacred temples.
