Doris Etheridge Edwards
Doris Etheridge Edwards was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and has devoted her life to service and sacrifice. As the daughter of a World War II Army veteran, wife of a Vietnam War veteran, and mother of a 21-year Air Force veteran, she deeply understands the commitment military families make to protect the nation. A proud mother of four and grandmother of four, Doris built a successful career as an Early Childhood Educator, Military Childcare Consultant, Program Specialist for the Hawaii Office of Community Services, and Government Program Evaluator.
After retirement, Doris channeled her passion into serving veterans, bringing comfort and Aloha to 210 veterans in 14 nursing homes across Hawaii. She has held leadership roles as President of the Leeward Pilot Club, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, and Governor-Elect of the COED District for Pilots International. She also volunteered with the Red Cross, Hawaiian Food Bank, and USO.
Doris Etheridge Edwards remains a shining example of dedication and compassion. Through her tireless service, she has made an enduring impact on countless lives.
