Apryl Davis

Originally from Pennsylvania, Apryl Davis Maynard has spent most of her life in Dallas. She maintains a close relationship with her family, including her parents, Lisa and Bruce Davis, who have been married for 45 years, and her older sister, Sophie. A devoted single mother, she has two sons.

With 14 years of recovery from addiction, Ms. Davis has dedicated her career to helping others. She began her professional journey in the non-profit sector, working with adolescents in drug treatment. Two years ago, she transitioned to working with the City of Dallas, focusing on chronic homelessness before moving to her current role as an assistant with the City Council.
