Dr. Edith Amobi-Agbaza

 
 

Dr. Edith Amobi-Agbaza, is a distinguished scholar with a Ph.D. in Social Work from Howard University and a background in Environmental Sociology from the University of Baltimore, she holds esteemed credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), and Drug Addiction Counselor (CAC II).

Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Dr. Amobi-Agbaza has been honored with the prestigious Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who for her leadership in the fields of Mental Health, Social Work, and her commitment to providing free Financial Literacy/Education Platforms.

Driven by a profound desire to make a positive impact, Dr. Amobi-Agbaza embarked on her journey as an Ombudsman in Baltimore City, diligently investigating various forms of abuse in Nursing and Group Homes. Her dedication led her to confront the harrowing reality of Child Abuse and Neglect in New York City, reinforcing her resolve to bring hope, healing, and comfort to those in need.

With over a decade of experience in the Mental Health field, Dr. Amobi-Agbaza played a pivotal role in pioneering initiatives for Deinstitutionalization, facilitating the transition of patients from institutions such as St. Elizabeth Hospital back into the community.

Currently, Dr. Amobi-Agbaza channels her expertise into the financial industry, providing invaluable free education to families on essential topics such as Tax-Free Retirement planning, Medicare and Medicaid application procedures, Life Insurance protection strategies, Long Term Care (LTC), and College Funding programs, ensuring no family is left behind in securing a safer and prosperous future.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Amobi-Agbaza finds fulfillment in her role as a devoted wife to Rev. Charles Agbaza, Head of Celestial Church of Christ in America, and as a nurturing mother to her five children and many grandchildren. Additionally, she has extended her love and care by adopting two young ladies, each with four children, who were tragically abandoned by their families due to the loss of their caregiver.
