Pastor Miata Sirleaf

Pastor Mrs. Miata Kiazolu Sirleaf is a passionate leader, advocate, and visionary with a deep calling to empower less-privileged women and girls. Her mission is rooted in faith and compassion, with a vision to create opportunities for vulnerable women to live with dignity, freedom, and economic independence.

Her journey began at the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Accra, Ghana, where she witnessed firsthand the struggles of displaced women and girls. In response, she founded the New Liberian Women Organization Skills Training Center on July 21, 2003, as a platform to provide practical skills and economic empowerment to women affected by poverty, violence, and displacement. The center has become a beacon of hope, helping women overcome domestic violence, gain financial independence, and rebuild their lives.

Mrs. Sirleaf is a graduate of R.C. Lawson Institute and the IPS International School of Public Administration. She is also a trained resource mobilizer through the African Women’s Development Fund in Accra, Ghana. With years of experience as a social worker and public servant, she has dedicated her life to advocating for gender equality, social justice, and community development.

A devoted wife, mother, and pastor, Mrs. Sirleaf is also a motivational speaker and mentor to many. Her work over the past two decades has transformed the lives of countless women—many of whom are now self-employed and making meaningful contributions both in Liberia and across the diaspora.
