Dear friend,

Greetings in this special month of October -- the gateway to Thanksgiving and then Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa!

This particular issue of the Logic of Love news is indeed rich in content and reflects the heart and soul of the Women's Federation for World Peace, which seeks to establish a culture of heart based on the motto of "Living By the Logic of Love" as a unique approach to peace-building.

In almost every article, you will find a different expression of or angle on the "Logic of Love," such as in Tanya Chandler's reflections on how the logic of love translates into raising the next generation of peace leaders. Or Marie Bond's sharing about celebrating a Halloween Festival with children in her Sunnyvale, California, community. Or the riveting address by Dr. Sun Jin Moon, our newly appointed International Senior Vice President, who spoke at the Global Women's Peace Network launch in Chicago about the need for women who lead with a mother's heart to undertake initiatives toward a spiritual and cultural revolution. These and more you will find in these pages.

And may I now ask YOU: What does the "Logic of Love" mean to you? How do you experience or express it in your life, family, work environment, and community of faith? Or is it as yet unformed?
