President's Corner: For Greater Hope in 2022!
Dear friend,
I hope this last edition for the year of the Logic of Love newsletter finds you well and healthy. Looking back over this eventful year 2021—in spite of Covid challenges and social distancing—WFWP USA produced many successes and new developments in 2021. All was possible thanks to generous donors like you! For that we are extremely grateful!
To highlight only a few successes in 2021: WFWP USA
educated 440 people through our Leadership of the Heart curriculum, a new paradigm for leadership!
educated over 1,500 on the power of marriage and family to create peace!
educated over 5,200 people on local, national, and international peacebuilding, including collaborations to promote North-South Korean unity!
A more detailed report will be made available in our next Logic of Love Newsletter.
Especially exciting have been our national and regional online Global Women's Peace Network (GWPN) educational and inspirational forums, educating women (and men) on topics such as "Catalyst for Positive Change: Art and Culture," "Women in Politics," "Health and Healing," "What You Did Not Know About the Family," and more.
Moreover, we expanded our reach internationally and held three highly impactful and trailblazing GWPN webinars, in collaboration with GWPN Korea and Japan, for the sake of de-escalation of tensions on the Korean Peninsula and to promote a Unified Korea!
These Three Events are as follows:
“The Case of North and South Korea,” focusing on a peaceful reunification. Over 150 attended in June 2021.
A Unified Korea: Finding Seeds of Hope.” 700 people participated from 42 countries in August 2021
“A Unified Korea - Rising Above Challenges” 618 participants in november 2021.
As part of these online forums, we heard from women and men in touch with and from the grass roots, from both the North and the South. These webinars and forums overall planted new seeds of hope for women, women leaders, and organizations, who now seek to join together with us to create greater peace in our families, communities, nations, and the world in this coming year!
To keep this hopeful momentum going, to build upon it, and to grow and expand it to bring greater hope to wider audiences here in the United States and beyond, may I count on your continued and increased generosity in 2022?! Please give to our current fundraising campaign titled For Greater Hope in 2022!
There is Power in Gratitude and there is Power in Giving, especially when giving to a good cause for Positive Change and Greater Hope for All, as you would be doing with your generous giving to WFWP!
"There's so much to be thankful for"! This theme of the song "Thankful" by Josh Groban to me sums up what I feel, as this eventful year 2021 is quickly coming to a close.
Here is to greater health, happiness, and peace in the upcoming year!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year 2022!
Gratefully,
Angelika Selle
