Honoring Lani Owen’s Service and Welcoming Carie Arline as WFWP's New Administrative Assistant

It is with a bittersweet feeling here at the WFWP Home Office that we say goodbye to Lani Owens, who has been serving as WFWP USA Administrative Assistant since April 2023. She brought a bright, dedicated spirit to our team which enhanced our work to realize our vision of awakening women to their value and potential. With her support and valuable professional skills, WFWP was able to launch new initiatives to empower and uplift women, such as Wholehearted, the WFWP Chapter Refresh, and much more. During the past year and a half we also had the joy to support her welcoming her second daughter into her family.

While we will definitely miss her and all that she brings to WFWP and the Home Office team, we definitely wish her all the best in taking the time to focus on her beautiful family!

In this transition, we’re also pleased to announce the Administrator role will be taken over by Carie Arline! We hope our readers, and WFWP members and volunteers around the country will join us in giving her a warm welcome.

I’m thrilled to join WFWP USA as the new Administrative Assistant. My journey began with a year at Special Task Force (STF), now known as Generation Peace Academy, where I was inspired by the vision of Father Moon and Mother Moon for a global community. This led me to become actively involved in various capacities, starting with youth ministry at my local church, serving as the secretary for the Chicago Family Church and vice president and president of my local council.

I completed a two-month internship in the Outreach and Education Department at FFWP and later gained experience in HR and learned more about the financial aspects of nonprofits, all while earning my degree in Nonprofit and Nongovernmental Studies.

I also have a diverse background in hospitality, education, and nonprofits. I spent over three years in Korea as an English instructor, which was a fulfilling chapter of my life. However, my passion for contributing to the nonprofit sector brought me back to my original desire.

I’m excited to bring my varied experiences to WFWP USA and support our mission on a national level.

— Carie Arline
