On February 15th, the Columbus Awaken Retreat provided a sacred space for women to come together, reflect on their divine identity, and strengthen their connection to Heavenly Parent and one another. The retreat was a powerful testament to the era of women’s leadership as participants shared transformative realizations and deeply moving experiences.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in heartfelt discussions, personal reflections, and immersive activities that illuminated the beauty and strength of divine femininity. A recurring theme was the presence and love of Heavenly Mother—an aspect of God that many found both deeply empowering and personally affirming.
One sister shared, “I felt that the era of women has arrived.” The retreat reaffirmed that women have a unique and essential role in the world, inspiring many to embrace their identity with renewed confidence and purpose.
Another participant reflected, “I can show up as the best version of me if I tap into this place—being a true woman can transform things around me.” This sentiment resonated with many attendees, who expressed a profound realization that their femininity is not only beautiful but also a force for transformation in their families, communities, and the world.
A younger participant shared, “I loved the concept that ‘Heavenly Mother is the center of creation.’ It feels empowering to hear this and reminds me of my strength and gift I can offer the world.” Many felt that acknowledging Heavenly Mother deepened their understanding of their intrinsic worth and strengthened their personal relationship with God.
Others acknowledged that the concept of Heavenly Mother was still new but inspiring. One sister shared, “Heavenly Mother is still a new concept for me. It gives me the courage to express it more in my daily activities.” Another expressed, “I feel empowered, and the best way to incorporate what I’ve learned today is to be who Heavenly Mother wants me to be. ‘Me.’ Just perfect the way He/She created me to be.”
The retreat also emphasized the importance of sisterhood and unity among women of different backgrounds. One participant observed, “It was nice to see women coming together despite different ages, races, and cultures. All coming together to unite and work together for a good cause is inspiring.” Another added, “We always saw each other but only exchanged greetings, but now that we have the opportunity to talk around the table like this, we are able to understand the person better.” The retreat created an environment where authentic conversations could unfold, strengthening bonds and fostering mutual support.
Another powerful moment was the discussion on divine femininity. One participant reflected, “Heavenly Mother is at the center of creation/all things/our lives the same way the Mother is at the center of the home. Now I can look at the world with new eyes, seeing Heavenly Mother’s touch in all things… There is beauty in womanhood/femininity and this is but a glimpse.”
The Columbus Awaken Retreat was a beautiful affirmation of the value of women in God’s providence. It served as a reminder that embracing our divine identity as daughters of Heavenly Parent is the key to unlocking a life of meaning, purpose, and love. With hearts full and spirits uplifted, participants left inspired to embody the truth they had discovered—to awaken to their fullest selves and bring Heaven’s love to the world.
