BRINGING WFWP TO LITTLE ROCK

As the WFWP Chairwoman in Memphis, Tennessee, I was invited by Rev. Bruce Biggin to come to Little Rock, Arkansas to introduce WFWP more deeply to some interested women there. This was the second time we had met and I was looking forward to working together with the ladies in Arkansas.

We held an introductory meeting and I explained the vision and mission of WFWP to bring women together to bond in heart and work together to inspire ourselves and others to serve and work in our respective communities. Every lady who participated showed great interest in WFWP. Each of them has been very involved in active community service and outreach.

We introduced the Bridge of Peace program and decided to plan such a program for a future date, possibly in November. A representative from WFWP Headquarters will be invited to come and officiate at the bridge crossing.

One of the ladies there offered to introduce us to a radio programmer so that we can introduce WFWP locally to a wider audience. Each lady introduced herself and her faith, and told about the work she has been doing in her community and her desire to become more active in WFWP. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I am glad I went all the way to Little Rock.

Working with WFWP brings hope for healing and reconciliation in our neighborhoods and families when we work together as a team.
