SUPPORT EBOLA VICTIMS AND FAMILIES IN LIBERIA

HELP SEND CLOTHES, SHOES, AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO FAMILIES IN NEED!

WFWP New Jersey has an annual project to help victims of the Ebola virus in Liberia. The Ebola outbreak in Liberia in 2014 and 2015 was the most widespread outbreak of Ebola in history. Many families are still dealing with the aftermath today.

Since then, every year WFWP New Jersey collects donated clothes, shoes, and other essential items to send to these families who have lost their parents and are in desperate need of support. We have already collected many items this year to send. This year a dentist also donated 500 toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste.

However, it is expensive to ship these barrels to Liberia. Please consider giving a donation of any amount to help ship these barrels and send our love to our global family.

Please enjoy some photos below from the shipment that was sent last year (2017) and was distributed in Gaye Town, Monrovia and Palala, Bong County.

When receiving the donated items, several families tearfully shared their stories of how Ebola impacted their lives and family. Oldma Nowah David shared how she is now taking care of her grandchild whose parents passed away from Ebola, but she has very little means to support a child so every day is a challenge. Anetta Dolo lost both her parents as well and is the oldest of her six siblings. She was forced to grow up quickly in order to care for her siblings, relying on the support of her other relatives. Many more children were left without their parents after Ebola swept through the country. Their families are looking for ways to pick up the pieces.

Let's continue to send them our substantial support. Help us reach our goal of $1500 which will cover the cost of the shipment.
