Natasha T. Dupee
Executive Director, Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives (MOWPI)
Appointed in April 2023, Natasha Dupee serves as the Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives (MOWPI), where she leads efforts to advance gender equity and improve the quality of life for women and girls in Washington, D.C. A fifth-generation native Washingtonian, Director Dupee is deeply committed to crafting and championing policies that expand access, opportunity, and well-being.
She joined MOWPI in 2022 as Associate Director, where she oversaw the office’s policy, economic empowerment, and stakeholder engagement portfolio. In this role, she curated the 5th Annual National Maternal and Infant Health Summit—featuring 46 speakers, 24 exhibitors, and more than 1,500 attendees—and led the #BeTheMovement Women’s Policy Bootcamp in partnership with 14 organizations, focused on leadership, advocacy, and civic engagement.
A strong advocate for economic equity, Director Dupee launched initiatives such as #ObviouslyDC Ladies Night and the InnovateHERs convening to increase women entrepreneurs’ access to capital. She continues to drive MOWPI’s signature programming, including the Washington Women of Excellence Awards, Women’s Equality Day, WorkSmart Wage Negotiation Workshops, and Financially Fit DC Women.
In addition to her role at MOWPI, she serves her community as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single-Member District 7E04.
Director Dupee is a Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholar and a proud double alumna of The George Washington University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy. She also holds a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
