Jumoke Kolawole
Jumoke Kolawole is a visionary leader, humanitarian, and changemaker whose life’s work is rooted in resilience, compassion, and a deep commitment to uplifting the underprivileged. As the Founder and Executive Director of Jumokecares Foundation, she has transformed personal adversity into a mission-driven movement, ensuring that vulnerable women, children, and communities receive the support they need to thrive.
Growing up with limited resources, Jumoke experienced firsthand the difficult choices that come with poverty—having to choose between food, education, and basic necessities. Rather than letting these hardships define her, she used them as motivation to drive meaningful change. Through Jumokecares Foundation, she has provided critical resources to over 4,800 individuals, offering food, clothing, sanitary products, medical aid, and shelter support. She also champions environmental sustainability through partnerships that promote community cleanups and eco-conscious initiatives.
Beyond her nonprofit work, Jumoke is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and community well-being. She has served as a committee member of the International Women Peace Group (IWPG) and a peer support facilitator with NAMI NJ, working to promote mental health and social inclusion. Her work with Irise as a cultural orientation coordinator further reflects her dedication to helping immigrants and marginalized populations navigate new beginnings with dignity.
Despite the challenges of self-funding her foundation, Jumoke continues to push boundaries, seeking partnerships, sponsorships, and innovative solutions to expand her impact. A devoted wife, mother, and community leader, she believes that true service is not just about giving but about restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who need it most.
For Jumoke, “Her Story” is one of strength, perseverance, and an unshakable belief that even the smallest act of kindness can create ripples of change.
