GWPN Presents: "Catalysts for Positive Change - Arts and Culture"
We are excited to invite you to the upcoming Global Women’s Peace Network virtual forum “Women’s Leadership in Peacemaking & Reconciliation: Catalysts for Positive Change - Arts and Culture” taking place on October 20th, 2021 at 8:00 PM EDT.
WFWP Founder, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon wrote in her memoir, Mother of Peace, “People often think that politics moves the world, but that is not the case. It is culture and art that move the world. It is emotion, not reason, that touches people in their innermost being. When hearts become receptive, ideologies and political regimes can change.”
Just as we can see much negative influence in the arts and entertainment, there is also tremendous potential to create a culture of peace through these spheres. This session, featuring dynamic women working in the field of arts and entertainment, will be looking at how art and culture has been a powerful catalyst for positive change and how we can start to shift the dynamics within these industries.
